Firefox is shutting down all my active tabs automatically WITHOUT asking me. This is regularly happening and wastes a lot of time. Is it due to installing Updates ? I DON"T want ANY updates and I am fully happy with my current version. If this doesn't go away, I will have to delete this browser and move elsewhere.

I am not aware of having adblock. I have looked in settings and don't see it on but Angels Gifts won't let me collect my game pieces because it says it detects adblock. I looked in extensions and don't see it. what should I do?

Hi, The site https://fortunenette.fr/ does not display properly in Firefox on my MacBook Pro running macOS 15.7.3 (build 24G419).

The header and navigation load fine, but the biography articles and the richest people table stay blank or show only placeholders. In the Firefox Console I see these errors: Uncaught TypeError reading 'length' of undefined, mixed content blocks for HTTP resources on an HTTPS page, and several CSP violations for inline scripts.

I already cleared cache and cookies, disabled all extensions, tried Private Browsing, turned off Enhanced Tracking Protection, and changed some about:config settings like strict transport security. Nothing helped.

The site loads perfectly in Safari and Chrome on the same Mac. It happens in Firefox 147.0 and the 148.0b2 beta too.

It seems like a Gecko-specific JavaScript or rendering problem. Has anyone else run into this? Any workaround without switching browsers?

Untill last night i could conect with that site https://imtw.ru and its sub forums without eny problem . Today when i press the link i recieve a message that the connection is rejected "Failure to secure connection". As you van see it has the https:// infront and i repeat i was able to connect last night. What may be wrong?

Hi Lovely Firefox Developers, Help articles say that "The translation feature ... has been available for all users since Firefox version 118.", but I can't see it and I'm on v147. I don't want to install the add-on as the articles say it's obsolete, but I can't see any other way to get it. Am I missing something? Tim

I have Firefox, then suddenly it switched over to Google.... a little google icon has appeared in the search window ... it drives me crazy... I have google news (absolute BS). How can I permanently remove google from my PC and LIFE? Please help...

Sync is corrupting my bookmarks.

This is affecting Firefox on multiple Windows computers, and multiple Apple devices (phone and tablets).

Only partial data is available. The bookmark “tree” structure is complete, but the bookmarks are only partially populated (only about 15%, and it appears these are newer items).

I did not change/edit any bookmarks or Firefox settings. This did not occur after a Firefox or OS update (it has simultaneously affected Windows 11, Windows 10, iOS 26.2.1, and iPadOS 26.2.1 devices, Firefox 147.0.2 on the PCs, iOS 147.2.1).

One one computer I momentarily saw all the bookmarks (machine version) disappear as Firefox synced the corrupted version to that computer.

I know I can restore the bookmarks (at least temporarily, until Sync may re-corrupt them). What is causing sync to change MY information?

Guten Tag, Ich nutze 4-5 Fenster, je nach Anwendungsumfeld, dauerhaft. Die Fenster beeinhalten meistens die jeweiligen Log-Ins in den einzelnen Tabs. Aus irgendwelchen Gründen sind alle meine eingerichteten Fenster verschwunden. ich habe versucht, über die Wiederherstellung der letzten 7 Tage meinen bekannten Stand wiederherzustellen. Da wurden mir ca. 750 Tabs angeboten. Der Versuch meine Fenster/Tabs zu finden war schier unmöglich. Also habe ich versucht alle! wiederherzustellen um manuell den Stand meiner Fenster zu rekonstruieren. Hat nicht bzw nur teilweise funktioniert. Können sie mir helfen meine Fenster mit den entsprechenden Tabs von vor 3-4 Tagen wiederherzustellen?

Since a while, I think it is since I created an extra testprofile with "firefox-esr -P", but I've set my main profile as default again

When opening a link in another program than firefox I get always: a popup "Close Firefox" "Firefox is already running, but is not responding. To use Firefox, you must first close the existing Firefox process, restart your device, or use a different profile."

I do have both firefox and firefox esr, I usually use regular firefox the second came with the debian 13 repository.

I keep the esr to test display issues for reproducibility on my personal desktop, because I manage debian 13 kiosk-style desktops with firefox-esr.

(I noticed also that the regular firefox profiles can not be opened in firefox esr, so I use an extra profile for esr)

So I have two Google accounts, let's call them Antelope and Bear. Antelope is my "main" account, but I use Bear for a lot of things too, which includes Gemini. So, if I want to use the Gemini chatbot option on Firefox's sidebar, it would make the most sense to use it under my Bear account, since that way I can access my previous chats and all that. However, when I open the Gemini chatbot, it automatically logs me in as Antelope. And when I click on the account's profile picture to swap to Bear, it instead opens the Gemini site on a new tab, in which I am indeed logged in as Bear, but the sidebar remains stuck on the Antelope account. I've tried the "reload Gemini" option, restarting Firefox, and clearing the cache, but nothing works. I think I could fix it by logging out of both accounts, then logging in only as Bear, letting the sidebar "grab" that account, and then logging in as Antelope, but I wanted to know if there's an easier/cleaner way to go about it. I just upgraded to the latest FF version 147.0.2 64-bit and now the video's on Facebook stop playing when I change to another window. As soon as the FB windows is not selected (in focus) they stop. Going back to the FB window, the video can be restarted.

Can you please investigate/fix this? Thanks!!!

Yesterday on Firefox, I discovered that when I Googled questions, the tabs loaded with a blank 2” left margin indented space. See screenshot attached. This occurred after FF update 147.0, and I have Mac Tahoe 26.2. I see from researching this that it’s a problem after the last FF update, as follows:

The left margin indentation glitch in Firefox 147.0 on macOS Tahoe is a known issue, likely related to rendering or graphics settings conflicts within the new macOS version. Potential fixes include disabling hardware acceleration or checking specific feature flags in about:config.

I refreshed FF, and now all bookmarks I had minimized have the 2” blank margin. How do I get it back to normal so that the text has no huge left margin?

Today when I went to play spotify on Firefox browser it said playback of protected content is not enaybled and at the top it says "The WidevineCdm plugin has crashed". Ive tried everything I could think of and possibly do.

Ive tried: Restarting my computer Deleting and reinstalling Firefox Using troubleshoot mode Disabling Widevine plugin Refreshing the page Toggling DRM content off then on again and ive submitted all crash reports

Im just not sure what to try next, if anyones experiences this before and has bypassed it somehow. Please share

from the last update, I have been unable to print any emails from either my gmail or webmail accounts. I cannot find any answers on line. Please can I get some suggestions? Thank you

Since I upgraded from FF128-esr to FF140-esr I always get the "Firefox is being updated by another instance" This is really driving me crazy, as I checked / did / .... everything (and even more) I found on the internet related to that.

Nothing helps !

Creating and using a new default profile didn't help

Finally I ended up uninstalling FF completely (making sure no -zero- leftovers remained in ProgramFiles, AppData a.s.o.), and reinstalled FF140.7.0-esr freshly. After installation I started FF immediately with the created default profile (only existing one) --> SAME THING : "Firefox is being updated by another instance"

And this is really a FF140 thing, when I go back to FF128, on the same computer, same profiles, ...., the problem is gone.

I would like to know in detail what checks are really done by FF to decide to give that "Firefox is being updated by another instance"

When a video is popped out, in PiP mode, and the "owning" page is scrolled such that the video "origin" scrolls off the viewport, the PiP video pauses. If the video is started again, and the page is scrolled more, it will re-pause.

This seems to be a Firefox behaviour and not a site-specific one.

Is there a setting to keep the video to continue playing?

This would be helpful on Twitter/X, for example, when scrolling the timeline with a PiP playing from a tweet.

I'm afraid the community may be tired of me, but it seems this is the only help Firefox is willing to provide for my problems. First, I still can't get the History and Bookmarks to show, although for a while they did. On top of that, a new issue has developed. Firefox exe now shows on my desktop as well as where I actually want it, in the taskbar. When I try to move it from the desktop, the app is deleted from both areas. When I go back to my apps folder, where I choose to keep exe files, and create another shortcut to go in my taskbar, it gets put back on my desktop and the cycle repeats. With all that nonsense going on for a month or more (I've really lost track of the days and hours I've spent on it), my question is should I just uninstall Firefox, reinstall it and then try to get my History and Bookmarks back. Or what would be a better solution? Whoever helps me with this mess has my sincere gratitude. I've used Firefox as my browser for many years without ever having any trouble and am baffled by what's going on now.

Have been using Google Chrome for a very long time and also have a gmail.com e-mail address. Very convenient to just tam the big letter "M". Have downloaded Firefox numerous times to select it as my default browser instead of Google but have not succeeded. Please help! Thank you.
